Terms of Service
Last updated Oct 26, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and NoobLyf, LLC ("we", "us") for using AccLyf Books at acclyfbooks.com and in our phone apps (the "Service"). If you use the Service for a business, you agree to these terms for that business and confirm you're allowed to. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and give accurate sign-up information.
- Keep your password safe and turn on two-step sign-in if you can. You're responsible for what happens under your login.
- A business's owner controls who can see and change its books. Owners are responsible for the people they invite and the roles they give them.
- Tell us right away at support@nooblyf.com if you think someone else has used your account.
2. Subscription, trial and billing
- Each business needs its own subscription. New businesses start with a free trial; a card is needed to start it, and the subscription begins at the end of the trial unless you cancel first.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year at the price shown when you subscribe, plus any applicable tax, until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time in Settings → Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the Service works until the end of the period you paid for. We don't give refunds for partial periods, except where the law requires.
- If a subscription ends or stays unpaid, the business's books become read-only. You can still sign in, view everything and download all of its data.
- We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the price of an existing subscription.
- Subscriptions are sold on the website only, not inside the iPhone or Android apps.
3. Your data
You and your business own the data you put into the Service. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to run the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can download it at any time. You're responsible for having the right to store the data you add, including details about your customers, suppliers and employees.
4. Not professional advice
AccLyf Books is software that helps you keep books. It isn't an accountant, tax adviser or lawyer, and nothing in it (including reports, sales tax rates, cash forecasts and AI suggestions) is professional advice. You are responsible for your books, your tax filings and your business decisions, and for checking figures before relying on them. Sales tax rates and payroll figures come from third parties and may be wrong or out of date. AI features can make mistakes, and only suggest; review what they fill in before saving.
5. Connected services
Some features work with other companies: Stripe (online payments, bank feeds and sales tax), Gusto (payroll), Zapier and your own webhooks. Using them means accepting those companies' terms as well. Money moving through Stripe is handled under your agreement with Stripe, not by us. We aren't responsible for those services, their availability, or data once it reaches them at your request.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- break the law, including tax, privacy, anti-spam or money laundering laws, or commit fraud;
- send spam or misleading invoices, or email people who haven't dealt with your business;
- upload malware, or try to get into accounts, businesses or systems that aren't yours;
- overload, scrape or reverse engineer the Service, or get around its limits (including API and email limits); or
- resell the Service without our written permission.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts others at risk. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
7. Our part
We work to keep the Service available, secure and accurate, and to back up data. We may change, add or remove features over time; if we remove something important you rely on, we'll tell you in advance. We may stop offering the Service entirely with at least 90 days' notice, during which you can download all your data.
8. Disclaimers
Apart from what these terms promise, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, NoobLyf, LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities, arising from the Service. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them.
10. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of the data you put into the Service or your breaking these terms or the law, you'll cover our reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service and delete your account any time. We may end these terms or suspend accounts for serious or repeated breaches, or if the law requires it. After an account or subscription ends, sections 3, 4 and 8 to 12 still apply.
12. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and of the United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before filing a claim, please email support@nooblyf.com so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Claims that aren't resolved go to the state or federal courts in the State of Illinois, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a claim in small claims court instead.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for changes that matter, we'll email account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
14. Other things
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If a part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part right away doesn't mean we give it up. You can't transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them to a company that takes over the Service. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events outside reasonable control.
Using our iPhone app is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; Apple isn't responsible for the app or its support.
